Introduction
Kachnar city is well planned township developed in North-West of Jabalpur city. Here we can find open air statue of Lord Shiva with height of 74 ft. Although it is a private property but open for all visitors from sunrise to sunset. Their is no entrance fee but you may have to pay the parking fee and norminal shoe-stand fee. It is spread over approx. 3 acres of land with open garden, statues of Nandi Ji and other saints in different poses. Now a days it is counted among popular places to visit in Jabalpur and thus, we can find tourists from different parts of India, on daily basis.
Lord Shiva statue
Work on this statue started in around year 2002 and it gets completed in year 2006. It was developed by artist from Shimoga in South India. Work done by artist is It is a East facing statue of creamy-yellow in painted color. At the base of statue, we can find a cave was developed for visitors where they can find replicas of 12 Jyotirlingas of India thus it is one of the must visit place while visiting this temple. Their is fixed timing of visiting this cave part. We can visit the statue complex from sunrise to sunset. Here arti is performed in morning and evening hours. We can visit Kachnar city temple, even after sunset under to flash-lights. Here visitors can easily do the photography without paying any camera fee.
