Introduction
Panna national park is part of Panna tiger reserve in Madhya Pradesh. It is spread over Panna and Chhatarpur districts of Madhya Pradesh which lies in northern region of state, at central India. For those who don't know about its location, may search for UNESCO world heritage site Khajuraho temples. Panna national park is just 35kms south-east of famous Khajuraho temples. This national park was creasted in 1981 and became 22nd tiger reserve of India in 1994. Thus Panna national park came into lime light after becoming part of Project Tiger. On becoming part of tiger reserve, it gained popularity and frequently visited by those tourists, who were visiting Khajuraho temples. It lost its all tigers till 2009, in poaching and mis-management but after re-introduction of tigers, at present, Panna national park is favorite tiger safari destination. It is very much different from other national parks of Madhya Pradesh like Bandhavgarh, Kanha national park, Pench national park. Here tourists have much more activities to do in compare to near by Bandhavgarh national park.
